International Women’s Day is a global day to celebrate the achievements of women, and what better time to acknowledge the accomplishments of two leading Irish female founders in particular; Vogue Williams and Lisa Jordan.
Vogue Williams – Bare by Vogue
A proud, Howth native, Vogue Williams is a presenter, podcast co-host, DJ, fitness fanatic, Bare by Vogue founder, oh and mum-of-three. A busy lady! She has covered all broadcasting corners, from presenting documentaries to hosting studio shows to appearing in her own reality show. Currently Vogue can be heard on Global Player podcasts “Spencer and Vogue’ and the hugely popular, “My Therapist Ghosted Me” alongside her bestie, Joanne McNally. The latter has seen the two recently begin their tour of sold out live shows – little surprise considering Vogue’s impressive 1M following on Instagram.
In 2019, Vogue created Bare by Vogue – the ultimate experience in sunless tanning for glow-getters across the globe, with her luxuriously rich tanning range, suitable for all skin tones. A self-proclaimed ‘tan addict’, Vogue knew exactly what she wanted from her brand. She wanted to create products that were easy to apply, healthy for the skin, and most importantly, made people look and feel fabulous. Four years on, the range now offers over 20 products, including three formulas of self tan – foam, lotion & instant, and two face tans – Serum and Mist – all available in three different shades. Not to mention the hero Liquid Body Illuminator and premium accessories to help with both tanning application and removal.
The recent launch of the Face Tanning Serum further strengthened the brand as a market leader in Ireland & the UK. It’s self-tan and skincare all-in-one. This product has been specifically created with the face in mind and offers the perfect hybrid of a truly efficacious skincare serum, paired with sunless tan, to deliver the ultimate glow. This super-serum delivers an instant wave of nourishing hydration thanks to its skin-loving superfood ingredients.
When asked how she does it all, Vogue says; “I just love the madness of it all! There’s never a dull moment, and I’m so grateful to be able to do all of the things that I love. I am a true skin nerd, and so when it comes to developing new product formulas we always strive to ensure they deliver more than just a surface-level glow. Our new Tanning Serum is packed full of phenomenal skin-loving ingredients that will leave your skin feeling nourished and looking hydrated, plump and refreshed. It’s honestly been my holy grail!”
Lisa Jordan – LUNA by Lisa Jordan
Lisa has always been a creative and expressive person, and since she was a child, has always been a lover of all things beauty. After kick-starting her makeup journey with MAC, she remained an artist there for more than ten years and learned everything there is to know about the cosmetics industry. Lisa’s online presence soared in 2014 when she made her blogging debut, focusing primarily on makeup, beauty and fashion. Her platform has since allowed her to grow a loyal online community of more than 260,000 people and has seen her work with brands such as In The Style, Littlewoods Ireland, Marks & Spencer, Karen Millen and Bare by Vogue, to name just a few
.
One of the ‘OG bloggers’, Lisa Jordan used her extensive knowledge of the beauty industry and feedback from her loyal following to create a brand of impressive yet affordable beauty products – LUNA by Lisa was born in 2017. Lisa wants her collection to make everyone feel fearless, beautiful and confident in their own skin. Hence, the brand involves customers in the manufacturing journey by listening and engaging carefully with them as the founder develops new products for the line. Since then, Lisa has added LUNA Haircare to the LUNA family, and is constantly introducing new products to the range, with a dreamy launch set to come to the market next month. More to follow soon…
LUNA by Lisa has gone from strength to strength since it’s launch and now boasts more
than 120 products, including hero product, Airbrush, which sold out not once, but twice! What started as a small selection of carefully formulated hair and makeup products, is now an ever growing cosmetics empire, with a reputation recognised nationwide as a leading brand in the beauty space.
Lisa Jordan comments, “I started my blog, Just Jordan, in 2014 writing about my two passions – beauty and fashion. Nine years on, it’s like a full circle moment for me to now have my own brands in these industries – it really is the most surreal feeling that I’m grateful for everyday.”
