A new Cork company Smart Modular Ireland has announced the creation of its new modular homes factory in Glanmire with plans to deliver up to 1500 homes in 2023. Smart Modular Ireland will construct dynamic, flexible and affordable buildings that are tailored precisely to the needs of the client.
Cork man and Founder and CEO of Smart Modular Ireland and Managing Director of the Sea Box Group Patrick Hogan said “After 6 years of extensive research into the homes market in Ireland, we are launching Smart Modular as a sustainable housing system that is a real solution for any developer, builder, first time buyer or home owner. We know from our many years of experience in this sector that Smart Modular buildings can go places and do things that conventional construction techniques simply cannot do with precision engineering and advanced insulation and integral part of them and this makes them comfortable and economical to run while modular construction leaves endless scope in the design process and is a very fast build solution from concept stage to turnkey solution to moving in. Our focus is on the key areas design, build, install, furnish and finance and we envisage the first turnkey homes production to take place in late October of this year. We have acquired a large premises in Glanmire that we are now converting into the hub of modular construction for our ambitious plans. We are hugely excited for what we can do for the housing market in Ireland and we have also been working on a concept for Cork’s first ‘Smart Village’ with its vision already taking shape”.
Another Cork man involved is CFO Mark Dineen who says “we have secured multiple finance options for our clients that will work for members of the public seeking a new home as well as the commercial sector and developers, and that will assist in a project of any size. We will work with any partners to provide further supports to our clients”.
Commenting on the announcement of the new modular homes factory for Glanmire, CEO of Business Cork Michael Mulcahy said “We have followed the journey of Smart Modular Ireland over the past 6 years and have seen the passion and enthusiasm that Patrick and his team have for this space and we really see enormous potential for what they will do for smart modular homes and buildings. It is a really interesting space right now with all of us focused on the economics of home ownership and running costs and we believe that smart modular homes are a real solution to our housing crisis”.
The Modular Homes Ireland sales office is based in Cork’s lead entrepreneur hub Republic Of Work on South Mall with experts available to deal with all enquiries.
