Bella and Me is a beauty and skin clinic based in Maynooth. Run by two experienced beauty therapists they offer a full range of services and all of their therapists are skin experts. We had a chat with Emily, one of the founders.
When did you open and what do you offer?
We opened the doors of Bella & me in 2016. At Bella and Me , we are dedicated to providing the highest level of compassionate, inclusive and innovative care to our clients . We offer all standard beauty treatments like waxing, tan and nails but we also offer a full skin clinic and laser hair removal. We have retail products too.
Tell us about yourselves?
Emily McDonald qualified as a beauty and skin therapist in Galligans Beauty college in 2001 (22 years ago) she worked and managed in many Beauty salons around Dublin and opened a purpose built salon called ‘Pritti nails and beauty’ at her house in Maynooth in 2007. She gained lots of loyal clients that are still clients to this day.
Mary qualified in 2007 (15 years ago) in Portobello Beauty College and began working at ‘Pritti nails and beauty’ in 2009 for 2 years, she then left to travel the world gaining beauty experience in Australia and Canada going on to work in a 5 star spa on one of the worlds most prestigious cruise ships.
We complimented each other knowing we shared the same passion for 5 star customer service. We are also both Mothers and support each other to be able to juggle and balance all that it takes to grow a business and raise children all at once.
How has your business evolved ?
Over the past 7 years we have grown our product portfolio. We research and source the leading brands and modalities in the beauty industry. Our aim is to combine results and luxury ensuring everyone leaving feels cared for and important.

We feel very proud of how successful the business has become over the years.
How does your team work so well?
We have grown to a team of 9 highly skilled and experienced therapists. Many of the team have been with us for years. We are so proud of the high level of treatments we can offer.
As a team, we treat each other with respect and compassion and this core value has built a great team. The support we give each other allows us to offer the best care to our clients. We always come back to our core values to make sure we stay true to our ethos.
Our clients are our main focus, We don’t just offer a one off facial or treatment. We want to hold our clients’ hand on their journey of skin health, phibrows, laser or any of the treatments we offer. We believe in the power of an excellent experience and believe in the importance of growing loyal relationships with our clients.
What are the plans for the future?
