Considering the stark statistics revealing the persistent issue of male suicide in Ireland, Cycle Against Suicide announces its Sean Kelly ‘King of the Castle’ Sportif Cycle.
This event, scheduled for Sunday, August 4th in Malahide, Dublin, aims to confront the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and foster a community of support and understanding.
With 3 out of 4 suicides each year being male, Cycle Against Suicide’s King of the Castle Sportif Cycle seeks to provide a platform for individuals to come together, share their stories, and challenge the stigma surrounding mental health.
Neglecting men’s mental health risks the wellbeing of families, workplaces, and communities. When men are discouraged from expressing vulnerability, seeking help, or even acknowledging their mental health struggles, it fosters a culture of silence and isolation.
