More than 150,000 children and their families rely on Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin every year. The Cork Friends of Crumlin Charity Ball 2018 will take place on October 13 at the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, Cork, and will raise much needed funds for Children’s Medical and Research Foundation (CMRF) Crumlin, the fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and the National Children’s Research Centre in Crumlin.
Ann-Marie O’Sullivan, Chairperson of the Cork Friends of Crumlin Charity Ball committee said: “Last year, 1,220 Cork children were treated at the hospital. Supporting this year’s Cork Friends of Crumlin Ball allows the people of Cork the opportunity to support Ireland’s sickest children. It sends a message to these children and their families that we are right behind them, raising and donating funds, so their children can access the best care, research and knowledge to help them through really difficult times.”
Lisa Nicole Dunne, the CEO of CMRF, said: “Now, more than ever, support is critical to ensure that sick children have the best care and treatments available. We have always received tremendous support from the people of Cork and this event is a key contributor each year to this local, national and global effort to help children who are affected by childhood illness, some of whom are going through the toughest journey right now. All proceeds help ensure we can support them and their families, as they attend Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, and help fund research and progress for very sick children.”
Ann-Marie added: “We are thrilled to have Anton Savage hosting this year and we are particularly looking forward to the auction on the night. Whether you’re at the ball or not, everyone has the opportunity to bid on our unique, money can’t buy prizes, including tickets to the sold out U2 gigs in Dublin in November, tickets to the Ireland vs All Blacks game on Saturday November 17 and VIP packages to Electric Picnic 2019!
“I’m delighted to announce that the ball is now sold out, however, people can still contribute and get involved at galabid.com/children.”
