Uwalk.ie’s “Travel Solo Not Alone” program offers group departure dates on the French, Portuguese and Celtic Camino routes. “Travel Solo Not Alone” has been developed specifically for solo travellers, who want to walk the Camino with a group of like-minded travellers and with the support of an expert support team on the ground.
With over 50 years experience, Uwalk have the Camino holiday down to a fine art, offering curated accommodation, daily baggage transfers, detailed walking notes, and local support as standard. Pilgrims will enjoy a meet and greet on arrival followed by transfers to their hotel and a chance for the group to break the ice at a welcome dinner. They can then attend a briefing from Uwalk’s local guide who will explain the week ahead and the walks they will embark on. Then it’s time to set off on their self-guided Camino journey – where they can choose their own pace day by day while still enjoying ample opportunities to connect with other walkers on this stunning route.
The journey is the focus here but that doesn’t take away from the glorious finale when walkers reach Santiago de Compostela – the culmination of all the pilgrims’ efforts, where they get to relax and enjoy the magic atmosphere of the city for two nights, before the transfer back to Santiago airport for their journey home.
