Adventure with Purpose: Gaisce Marks 40 Years of Youth Adventure Announcing Craghoppers as Official Partner
Public invited to gear up for good in 2025
Gaisce – The President’s Award is marking its 40th anniversary with a major partnership announcement. They are teaming up with outdoor clothing brand Craghoppers to support young people in their pursuit of adventure with purpose.
As an Official Partner of Gaisce’s 40th anniversary, Craghoppers will provide high-quality and durable outdoor gear to Gaisce youth ambassadors, staff, and council members, as well as offering exclusive discounts for Gaisce participants and President’s Award Leaders (PALs) in its retail stores and online. Craghoppers will also support Gaisce with in-store presence in its network of stores throughout Ireland.
Gaisce – The President’s Award is Ireland’s national youth award and is a personal development programme for young people aged 14-25. It is a direct challenge from the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins to all young people to dream big and realise their potential.
Encouraging Outdoor Exploration with a Sustainability Focus
For four decades, Gaisce has encouraged young people to push their limits and achieve their personal best through outdoor adventure, personal development, and community engagement. This new partnership with Craghoppers aligns with that mission, providing practical support while reinforcing the importance of sustainability.
Craghoppers is known for doing what it can to protect the environment in its approach to outdoor wear, such as using PFC free DWR on waterproof jackets and using 100% recycled materials in its Miska and Corey fleeces. The collaboration aims to highlight responsible outdoor practices, encouraging young people to explore nature while being mindful of their impact.
Celebrating 40 Years of Gaisce
2025 makes a year-long celebration which will feature flagship events bringing together past and present participants to mark four decades of achievement. A major announcement next month will reveal further details on events and opportunities for the Gaisce community.
