One of Kilkenny’s best-loved restaurants and food markets, La Rivista has opened a new service for visitors. Located at number 17 on Kilkenny’s historic Parliament Street, La Rivista’s new ‘Grab & Go’ Food Market is serving take-out snacks, ice cream, lunch, dinners and a wide range of freshly made take-home dishes to diners, making it ideal for locals or tourists to pick up a delicious meal ‘on the go’ while visiting the medieval city.
The ‘Grab & Go’ Food Market is the latest edition to the already extensive La Rivista offering. La Rivista Restaurant on 22 Parliament Street, is perfect for indoor dining, serving hot lunches, fish & chips and daily dinner specials as well as casual coffees and pastries throughout the day.
Strategically located in the heart of the city, close to some of the city’s top attractions like Rothe House and the renowned Smithwick’s Experience, both the La Rivista Restaurant and La Rivista Market attract tourists and locals alike for their great locations and wide range of dining options.
Commenting on the opening of the new ‘Grab & Go’ Food Market, Proprietors Jennifer Quinn and Seamus Walsh said: “We are delighted to be expanding our business with this new market. The summer period brings many visitors to Kilkenny and we understand that not everyone has time to sit down and take a leisurely lunch, so our ‘Grab & Go’ service gives people the flexibility to grab a delicious salad, sandwich or wrap with us and head off to explore the city. We also realise that others wish to have a full dining experience and our restaurant offers that option for a more ‘extended’ meal in a central location, close to Kilkenny’s most popular attractions.”
